Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using VOLUX, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. VOLUX is operated by LAXXY Technology Ltd, registered in New Zealand. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
The service
VOLUX is a browser-based relighting studio and art academy. There is a free trial and two paid plans. The paid plans are billed yearly.
- Free trial — 7 days of studio access with watermarked exports and 3 trial renders. Access ends after 7 days unless you take a paid plan.
- Academy — $89 USD per year. The master reading pages, the painting tutorials, the AI master styles, the foundation modules, the full materials lists, clean exports, and 40 AI renders a year.
- Pro — $299 USD per year. Everything in Academy, plus 100 AI renders a year, early access to new artists, and new features first.
Additional render credits may be bought separately as render packs at any time, including when your yearly allowance runs out. Your yearly render allowance resets at the start of each plan year and unused renders do not carry over.
Your content & your images
Your images belong to you. Any image you open in VOLUX remains your property. We make no claim. All processing happens in your browser — images are never transmitted to our servers.
You may not use VOLUX to process images you do not have the right to use, or that depict illegal content.
Payments & billing
- Yearly plans — Academy and Pro are billed once a year and renew annually until you cancel. Render packs are charged once.
- Free trial — 7 days. If you do not take a paid plan, access ends and you are not charged.
- Cancelling — cancel any time before your renewal date. You keep access until the end of the year you have paid for.
- Processing — payments are processed through GoHighLevel and its payment processor.
- Money-back guarantee — plans carry a 7-day money-back guarantee. Contact info@laxxy.co.nz within 7 days of purchase.
- Render packs — non-refundable once any credit in the pack has been used.
- Price changes — plan prices may change. We will tell you before a renewal at a new price, and you may cancel before it is charged.
Watermarks & intellectual property
The watermark applies to free trial exports. The Academy and Pro plans remove it. Removing, cropping or digitally erasing the watermark from a free trial export is a violation of these Terms of Service.
The VOLUX wordmark, name and associated visual identity are trademarks of LAXXY Technology Ltd and may not be used without written permission.
AI renders
Images you submit for a master-style render or a V.Create render are processed by our rendering service. The result is cached in your account history so you can return to it.
Exports produced on a paid plan may be used commercially.
VOLUX does not reproduce any artist’s paintings. The styles are technique-based transforms offered for education and reference.
Disclaimer & liability
VOLUX is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand. Please contact us first at info@laxxy.co.nz — we will make a genuine attempt to resolve any issue before formal proceedings.
